Thank you to Shauna at Humphrey’s and Michael Pritchard at Anthology for helping us with so many musical tributes and fundraisers for our friends and their families.
Our much loved friends Guitarist, Ron "Big Dawg" Billups passed away the same day as Carl, we lost Vocalist, Keyboardist, Composer, Calvin "Romance" Baugh unexpectedly as well. We lost the great vocalist and dear friend Roger Garrett in 2005 and we lost Saxophonist, Composer, Hollis Gentry III in June of 2006. Barbara Jamerson left us in August of 2008. What a band God has now.
Many of us have had these special friends in our lives for so long that it is hard to imagine the depth of the vacuum left in their wake. They blessed us with so much music, wisdom, love and friendship during their lifetimes that we can still hear their voices through their music. They will live forever in our hearts and in our souls.
They are all at peace now, rejoice for them and grieve for us. We have each other, stay united, they always brought us together. Above all, stay strong in the Lord.
Sincerely,
Gene Harris, Jr., MBA
President of Programming
